Working with parents and families to help their children reach their goals.
An RBT will be working directly with your child on their goals. These trained individuals will also be taking data on programs, and following the instructions of the supervisor (BCBA)/
A supervisor (BCBA) will show up periodically to make changes to programs and further training the RBT on procedures. Supervisors are also responsible for developing goals and plans to meet those goals based on families needs.
Parent trainings will be held at a minimum of once per month in which parents are trained on our procedures, programs, and field as a whole. We also work with parents on what they would specifically like to see or learn.
We work on helping children adapt to the many changes in their environment. Everything from waiting to children being okay with change is covered here.
We work on reducing maladaptive behaviors such as tantrums, self injurious behavior, and aggressions by teaching replacement behaviors.
Verbal and non verbal communication are taught here. Building on your child's motivation, we work towards better communication weather it be verbal, sign language, or an assisted communication system.
Daily living skills such as toothbrushing, getting dressed, and other home specific goals are worked towards here.
